Empire, Religion, and Liberty in the Thirty Years War
ABSTRACT
The Thirty Years’ War was one of the most influential events in the history of early modern Europe. Drawing on both classic and revisionist accounts, this colloquium explored the causes and consequences of the war. In particular, the sessions investigated how the conduct and conclusion of the conflict affected the social, political, and cultural history of Europe.
