The Entrepreneur

ABSTRACT

Although it is widely recognized today that entrepreneurs play a pivotal role in the economy, such scholarly recognition is a relatively recent development—and the treatment of entrepreneurs in the media and popular culture still seems to belie this recognition. This conference explored the nature of the entrepreneur theoretically, historically, psychologically, and in popular culture.
