Liberty, Power, and Leadership in Shakespeare’s Political Plays
This colloquium explored the role of political leadership in fostering and hindering liberty in Shakespeare’s Richard II, Richard III, and Macbeth. These plays illustrate topics of power, order, liberty, and responsibility that are crucially relevant and fundamental to the political and institutional dilemmas facing many Latin American nations; the discussion was in Spanish.
