Liberty, Art, and Dissent
ABSTRACT
What is the role of art in a free society? What is the role of art in presenting views that dissent from those in authority? What is the role of art in shaping and challenging popular opinion? To address these and other questions, this conference explored the place of art in and dissent in a society of free and responsible individuals.
