Free Will or Divine Predestination? Augustine and Pelagius on the Human Condition
ABSTRACT
This conference explored the debates between Pelagius and Augustine about human nature and free will. The dialogue of these thinkers about human freedom directly bears upon the question of individual liberty, and it has implications for individual responsibility, in that the limits of free will also form the limits of individual responsibility.
