Amagi Books is an imprint that brings
the best of classical liberal economic and political theory of the

Amagi Means Liberty
The cuneiform inscription for which this new
imprint is named also serves as a design element in all Liberty
Fund books. It is the earliest-known written appearance of the word
"freedom" (amagi), or "liberty." It is taken from a clay document
written about 2300 B.C. in the Sumerian city-state of Lagash.
